Chaoyang District established friendly relations with Tokyo Minato-ku in 1993, which is the first international sister city to Chaoyang District. Over the past three decades, the two sides have continued to carry out painting and calligraphy exchanges, with extensive participation of young people and the elderly from both sides in order to enhance mutual understanding and friendship.
