The Dual Olympic City
Chaoyang District first released the ten major action plans for developing "Dual Olympic Chaoyang", and formulated the implementation of action plan for inheriting and promoting Olympic culture. Fully exploring and utilizing the cultural resources of the Beijing Winter Olympics, Chaoyang District has implemented the "One-Ten-Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand" brand project to inherit and promote the "Dual Olympics" culture. The endeavors include the planning and establishment of a group of parks, blocks, and communities with the characteristics of "Dual Olympics", as well as the intensive construction of a number of cultural squares and public cultural spaces with Olympic elements. Now, Olympic venues such as the Bird's Nest, the Water Cube, and the Ice Ribbon have been successively opened to the public with a series of Olympic sports, including ice and snow activities, aquatic activities, and sports for leisure and entertainment activities. These activities have brought vitality to the "Dual Olympic Chaoyang".

The Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics have bestowed the significant honor of being the "Dual Olympic City" upon Beijing, China's capital city. Since then, the National Stadium (Bird's Nest) as “Dual Olympic Venue” where the two events were held has become a shining iconic symbol of China. These two grand events have given rise to remarkable IP images such as the "Olympic Fuwa" (Five Friendlies) and "Bing Dwen Dwen." The collection of all the "Five Friendlies" and the acquisition of a "Dwen Dwen" have become highly sought-after, generating numerous focal points in cultural tourism, IP merchandise, and more, thus driving robust economic growth.
National Stadium ("Bird's Nest")
The National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest, served as the primary venue for the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. The opening and closing ceremonies, athletics competitions, track and field events and the football match finals of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, were held there.

National Aquatics Center ("Water Cube"/"Ice Cube")
The National Aquatics Center represents an internationally advanced complex encompassing swimming, sports, fitness, and leisure activities. Apart from hosting international competitions, it serves as a hub for aquatic entertainment for Beijing citizens. The underground space of the southern square in the National Aquatics Center has been utilized to build a standard ice rink and a curling venue. Visitors can indulge in the joy of curling and ice skating at this remarkable facility, which also offers swimming and water activities.


National Speed Skating Oval ("Ice Ribbon")
The National Speed Skating Oval, also known as the "Ice Ribbon," is a landmark venue for the main competition area in Beijing for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and the only venue specially built for ice competition. Inspired by the fusion of speed and ice, the design concept of the "Ice Ribbon" features 22 undulating ribbons, like the traces left behind by athletes gliding across the ice, symbolizing speed and passion. This versatile venue can be used to carry out a wide array of ice sports, including ice hockey, speed skating, figure skating, and curling.
