City of Reading
Chaoyang District will continue to improve the "3+1" four-level public library service network and vigorously support the development of brick-and-mortar bookstores. It will actively explore new models of city library construction, such as library-press cooperation, library-bookstore cooperation, and library-school cooperation, highlighting the model brand of city libraries. It will encourage and guide cultural industry parks, business districts, blocks, and commercial buildings to, through scientific planning and reasonable arrangement, create a batch of specialized, refined, differential, and innovative reading spaces with different themes such as trendy libraries, revolutionary history-themed libraries, international libraries, art libraries, and creative libraries. In addition, Chaoyang District will develop new digital reading scenarios and build a series of high-quality intelligent service facilities, such as digital libraries and audiobooks, to enhance the digitalization level of public reading services.

CITIC Books (Genesis Branch)
The CITIC Books (Genesis Branch) is located within the Genesis Building in Chaoyang District, positioned as a cultural exchange space along the Liangma River with the bookstore as the carrier. It is a concept store themed on art and design, emphasizing quality of life, and integrating reading, gastronomy, and experiences.
Zhongshuge Bookstore
Known as the "most beautiful bookstore", the Zhongshuge Bookstore draws inspiration from the expression technique of moving to different places to gain more diversified feelings in Chinese classical gardens, creating an atmosphere of elegance and tranquility, and providing a poetic sense of ritual to reading.


Zhixing Bookstore
Founded in June 2019, Chaoyang Urban Library · Zhixing Bookstore is a specialized bookstore dedicated to disseminating media knowledge. As a branch of the Communications University of China Press (CUCP), it serves as a reading space for CUC and the surrounding communities. Zhixing Bookstore has worked with the Chaoyang District Library to create public reading spaces and provide the public with an all-in-one card borrowing service free of charge.
PAGEONE (Sanlitun Branch)
In PAGEONE, every corner and every detail forms a unique scene. The combination of close-range and distant views, as well as the integration of indoor and outdoor landscapes, allows people to enjoy reading and experience life’s beauty.

Chaoyang District Library
Established in 1958, the Chaoyang District Library is a comprehensive public library owned by Chaoyang District and is a national first-class library. The library covers an area of nearly 20,000 square meters and is divided into the Jinsong Branch and the Xiaozhuang Branch, which operate simultaneously. The library features a collection of approximately 2.8 million volumes, with an annual increase of over 200,000 volumes in 40,000 categories. The annual number of readers received is not less than 650,000, and the annual number of books circulated is not less than 1.3 million. It ranks among the best in Beijing's district and county-level libraries in terms of comprehensive service efficiency.
Capital Library of China
The Capital Library of China, abbreviated as "CLC", is a large public library owned by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.
It provides comprehensive, multi-level cultural information services to the public, including literature borrowing, information consultation, lectures and forums, exhibitions and communications, and cultural and leisure activities. It is an essential knowledge and information hub and a base for the construction of spiritual civilization in Beijing.


Sweet Town
Chaoyang Urban Library · Sweet Town is located in Beihuaji Industrial Park, with an overall space area of over 4,000 square meters and a total collection of over 40,000 volumes covering various categories. Regular reading activities provide residents with a quality and comfortable reading environment. In addition, with selected cultural and creative products with enlightening functions, the bookstore is committed to creating an exchange platform and general space of cultural aesthetics integrating culture and intelligence, learning and teaching, and beauty and art.
LiangyueStudy in Langyuan Station
Chaoyang Urban Library · LiangyueStudy is located at the south entrance of Shouchuang Langyuan Station. LiangyueStudy, transformed from the Beijing Textile Warehouse, preserves the distinctive red bricks as the main material for its building facade, and the traditional flower wall construction method is partly used. Guided by the operation philosophy of connecting libraries and bookstores, LiangyueStudy, in collaboration with Chaoyang District Library, has brought together a wide range of public reading resources to create a reading space for all.


Lidu Space
Chaoyang Urban Library · Lidu Space is a diversified urban space open to the public, integrating public reading services, shared spaces, and charity salons. Located in the Lidu Commercial District, Lidu Space boasts a collection of 5,000 volumes and a total of 50-80 seats. Lidu Space has collaborated with the Chaoyang District Library to incorporate public reading resources, create public reading spaces, and offer a complimentary, convenient, all-in-one card borrowing service to the public.
Bo Book Bar in Dongyi International Media Industrial Park
Bo Book Bar, situated in Dongyi International Media Industrial Park with an area of 380 square meters, is a unique cultural platform that embodies the fusion of the "Urban Library" concept and Beijing Chaoyang Bookstores, with the noble purpose of serving social welfare.
