The green “art gallery” in Beijing's CBD has lately debuted, adding a beautiful attraction to the city.

The green “art gallery” is located next to the west of China World Mall and south of China Overseas Plaza. The original brick wall of the parking lot, after an artistic makeover, is now an extending scroll that manifests Chinese elements and blends the spirit of Beijing in the urban environment and citizens' lives via artistic interactions.

The scroll is composed of 30,000 eco-friendly bricks, which adopt common plastic bottles and their caps (PP), cases of home appliances (ABS), reflective billboards on freeways (PC), etc., and displays the varied forms of recycled plastic by means of reutilization with different processing and bonding technologies.

Images of 56 existing world heritages in China are inserted on the scroll, among which images of mountains and rivers consist of six types of plastic modules form the sky, mountains and rivers. Should there be any reconstruction in the future, the plastic bricks can be removed and placed elsewhere for redesign and installation, and eventually be utilized to form a new visual image, which reveals the eco-friendly concept of whole-process sustainability.
