In 2021, nearly 38,300 enterprises were newly established in Chaoyang District, accounting for 16.1% of Beijing’s newly founded enterprises, ranking first in the whole city; a total of 721 foreign-funded enterprises were newly established, up by 45.7% year on year (YoY), accounting for 37.5% of the city’s increment; the foreign investment in actual use amounted to USD 5.11 billion, up by 10.5% YoY, accounting for 32.8% of the city’s total amount; the contractual foreign investment reached USD 18.44 billion, up by 200.6% YoY. From January to April this year, 10,410 enterprises were newly established in Chaoyang District, accounting for 12.63% of the city’s increment; a total of 169 foreign-funded enterprises were newly established, accounting for 33.3% of the city’s increment; the foreign investment in actual use was USD 1.88 billion, up by 42.9% YoY, accounting for 26.7% of the city’s total mount.

Chaoyang District has formed a number of practical cases in reform and innovation centering on finance, business service, and other characteristic areas. Among others, the innovation case of digital credit enhancement for integration of culture-tourism and financial industries was awarded “The First Reform and Innovation Cases about Construction of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector that Are Replicated and Promoted Nationwide”. The prepaid capital supervision model innovation case was awarded “The First Reform and Innovation Practical Cases about Construction of ‘Two Zones’ that Are Replicated and Promoted in Beijing”.
