Teenagers from Chinese and Japanese Sister Cities Have an Online Exchange
“Chaoyang District-Minato Teenagers’ Online Exchange Activity” was held recently. Young representatives from Chaoyang District, Beijing and Minato, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan presented their own characteristic cultures to each other through a novel selection of materials and vivid explanations, enhancing cultural exchange between the two sides.
At the activity site
During the activity, the teenager representatives of the two sides respectively introduced the general situation, characteristic culture, and social development situation of the two districts, demonstrated the distinctive international characteristics and regional cultural characteristics of the two districts, and sent invitations to each other. In the speech session, the teenager representatives from Chaoyang District showed traditional Chinese culture from various aspects such as traditional Chinese festivals, food, musical instruments, poetry, calligraphy, seal cutting, costumes, and so on. The teenager representatives from Minato introduced Japanese cuisine, manga, and other components of Japanese culture. They both discussed and communicated with each other on topics of interest.

Chaoyang District established a friendly relationship with Minato in 1993, which is the first international sister city of Chaoyang District. Over the years, both sides have organized calligraphy and painting exchange activities, attracting extensive engagement by teenagers and residents from both sides to learn from each other and carry on friendship.
