In 2022, Chaoyang District continues its efforts in greenway construction. The project of about a 9.5km long demonstration section constructed in the early stage is currently in the final stage. After the completion, the greenway will be a great place for walking, running, cycling, and hiking.

Starting from the intersection of Anli Road and Qinghe in the north, the demonstration section of the Chaoyang Greenway passes through public parks and forests including Olympic Forest Park, Yangshan Park, Beixiaohe Park, and Wanghe Park, and ends at the North Park of Wanghe Park in the south.

The whole greenway provides a green environment for cycling and walking. Small sports grounds with sports fitness equipment are also set up along the greenway to meet the requirements of residents for stretching and warm-up exercises.

In the next stage, Chaoyang District will intensify the efforts to construct greenways in the whole district. It has planned six greenways including the Ecological Wenyu Greenway, the Smart 798 Greenway, the Cool Trend CBD Greenway, the Fashion International Greenway, the 10,000-mu (1 mu rougly equals 667㎡)Forest Greenway, and the Northern Chaoyang Greenway that has been constructed in the early stage to build a greenway system in Chaoyang District, and thus enable residents to immerse themselves in the achievements of building a park city.
