As the main district of the “Dual-Olympic City”,

Chaoyang District, in the spring of 2022,

has left an profound mark 

in its development progress.

During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, more than 140 reporters from more than 80 media at home and abroad stepped into Chaoyang District, Beijing, to feel the charm of both the Winter Olympics and the city, and to tell the story of Chaoyang District through cultural exchanges. In front of the cameras and under the brush strokes, the “Chaoyang Image” with confidence, openness, and infinite vitality appears more vivid and stereoscopic.

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics has ignited Chaoyang people’s enthusiasm for winter sports, improved people’s livelihood and social well-being, and enhanced people’s happiness index.

The entire district’s GDP has jumped to a big step of RMB 700 billion, the per capita disposable income of residents has reached RMB 79,000, the green coverage rate of the whole district has reached 48%, and the average annual concentration of PM2.5 has dropped by 48% compared with that of 2016, reaching “30+” for the first time, and 330 small and micro water bodies have taken on new looks... Preparations for the Winter Olympics have driven regional sustainable development, the ecological environment is getting increasingly better, and the background for high-quality development of “Dual-Olympic Chaoyang” is accumulating more momentum.
