On the evening of December 31, 2022,

with the theme of "Meeting in Chaoyang District to Embrace the New Year",

a light show for New Year countdown to 2023

was staged on the Beijing Olympic Tower, Wangjing building cluster, and China World Trade Center.

Using three-dimensional imaging,

full-color laser and other technologies, the light show lit up the sky of Chaoyang District

and conveyed the culture of Beijing as a dual-Olympic city

as well as good wishes for the year 2023 to all residents.

Located on the city's central axis,

Beijing Olympic Tower that symbolizes the Tree of Life

took on a new look,

celebrating the new year

with a glowing countdown light show.

The Wangjing building cluster was lit up by resplendent lights

At 6:00 pm,

the Wangjing building cluster

put on festive attire in resplendent lights,

with the characters "新年快乐" (Happy New Year) flashing on the curtain wall.

China World Trade Center welcomed the new year

The city was pulsing in the flowing lights.

China World Trade Center at night,

decorated by starlight and neon,

constituted a dazzling picture of light and shadow,

depicting the new look of Chaoyang District.
