A Good Day for Cycling! This Guide Offers You a Pleasurable Cycling Trip in the Vibrant Spring of Chaoyang
Chaoyang strictly follows Beijing’s requirements for building the slow-traffic system.
It strengthens the integration of riverside roads, greenways, and city roads,
and advances the construction of the leisure-oriented slow-traffic system,
aiming to build a high-quality green slow-traffic system
featuring leisure, entertainment, and fitness.
The 9.5 km demonstration section of the Chaoyang Greenway connects the Olympic Forest Park, Yangshan Park, Beixiaohe Park, and many other green areas of parks, woodlands, and rivers. Recently, the Chaoyang Greenway has been further extended, and the section from Wangjinghuan to Chaoyang Railway Station is almost completed, totaling 26 kilometers. Starting from the north part of Wanghe Park (northern section) and adjoining Chaoyang Greenway demonstration section and Wangjinghuan Greenway, the extended Chaoyang Greenway mostly passes through the parks or green areas beside the side road of East Fourth Ring Road, ends at Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station in the south, and neighbors the Liangma River slow-traffic system and Chaoyang Park in the west.
Chaolai Forest Park Phase III is an ideal place to enjoy parent-child time and have a family cycling trip. It is the first sports park in Beijing for people of all ages, with a cycling path of 3 kilometers.
Last year, the Bureau of Culture and Tourism of Chaoyang District worked with many departments to introduce Five Featured Cycling Routes, including the Trendy Route, Stylish Route, Beautiful Route, Happy Route, and Fun Route. Each contains 6 to 18 classic or new internet-famous sites.
