The 11th Chaoyang International Talent Entrepreneurship Conference (ITEC) Officially Launched

On June 29, the 11th Chaoyang International Talent Entrepreneurship Conference (ITEC) was officially launched, and the ITEC Global Entrepreneurship Competition project solicitation started simultaneously.

As a "Chaoyang Brand" in international talent innovation and entrepreneurship services, the ITEC has been held continuously for eleven years. Over the past eleven years, ITEC has been serving the overall development, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, and continuously upgrading its services. To accelerate the construction of high-level talent hub and international innovation center and to serve the high-quality development of the region, the 11th ITEC has been comprehensively upgraded. Innovative Competition Set to Seize Internet 3.0 Development Opportunities

Since the beginning of 2023, Chaoyang District has accelerated its efforts to seize the opportunities of Internet 3.0 and has taken a series of significant measures. It launched the Three-Year Action Plan for Innovation and Development of Internet 3.0 in Chaoyang District (2023–2025). It established the first Internet 3.0 application scenario research institute in China, and released benchmark application scenarios such as Gongti Metaverse (GTVerse) and SOLANA Metaverse to build a national highland for the Internet 3.0 industry.

Winning projects from the special competitions not only have the opportunity to directly advance to the global finals but also have the chance to collaborate with two leading companies in areas such as technology integration, project application, market transformation, and resource sharing, thus building a development ecosystem where leading companies drive innovation and collaboration among enterprises of different sizes.

From waiting for projects to come to actively seeking and attracting talent through various channels, this year's ITEC has further increased its efforts to proactively attract talent. For the first time, an "Implementation Support Officer" incentive mechanism has been established, and institutions or organizations that recommend participating projects will receive a one-time bonus of 10% of the total cash rewards given to the projects. The competition encourages various market entities to participate in project recommendation and landing, thus forming a virtuous cycle of talent recommendation and attraction.

In terms of competition zones, this year's ITEC continues to leverage the international advantages of Chaoyang District and is divided into two major zones: overseas and domestic. The overseas zone is divided into sub-zones such as North America, South America, the European Union, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Upgraded Landing Services and Increased Prize Money and Policy Support Efforts

This year's ITEC Global Entrepreneurship Competition has comprehensively optimized its incentive mechanism, with more rewards and support in terms of quantity, amount, and content. The number of award-winning slots has been increased to a maximum of 55, compared to previous years. In addition to providing financial support, ITEC will also adopt a "tailor-made" approach to provide comprehensive support policies for the specific needs of each winning project, including talent, industry, and space. For example, winning projects that choose to operate their businesses in the ITEC Industrial Park will receive rent reductions for three years, with the size of the reduction varying based on the level of the award and space coverage. For winning projects that choose to locate their operations in other parks, corresponding rent subsidies will also be provided based on their actual needs. In addition, the primary founders of third prize-winning projects or higher that meet the conditions will be included in the "Phoenix Plan" high-level talent service system, which provides a comprehensive package of services including medical care, housing, and talent introduction support.

In recent years, Chaoyang District has continuously increased its efforts to attract and retain talent. A more comprehensive support mechanism is established to make more and more outstanding professionals and high-quality projects to choose Chaoyang District.
