The Landscape Lighting Project for the Eastern Extension Line of Chang'an Avenue Completed, Chaoyang Building "the Warmest Administrative Corridor"
Golden Lights Connect the Road While the River Witnesses the History
As night falls, a golden light strip glittering as the bright moon comes into view with a drive into the East 4th Ring Road from north to south, across the ramp into the main road of Jingtong Expressway. All the way to the east through Sihui Bridge and Canal No. 1 Overpass to Baliqiao section, lights in various colors illuminate the bridges, buildings, trees, and lawns on both sides, making the night teeming with colors.
Along the north side of Jingtong Road, the flowing lights brighten up the skyline of the buildings, decorating the night city. Under the night sky, the CR Land Time Center, the China Red Sandalwood Museum, and other buildings are transformed into enchanting spectacles with vibrant lights; On the south side along the Tonghui River, interactive light shows and the latest AR technology are adopted to create a landscape of "Imperial River Flowing through Gaobeidian through the Millennium", with Tongxin Bridge, colorful bodhi ancient trees on the Mid-lake Island, Pingjin Ancient Gate, Tenglong Pavilion and buildings in the style of the ancients along the bank... This place is vibrant with colors at night and reproduces the prosperous scenery of the thousand-year-old Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, attracting many citizens.
Creating the Warmest Administrative Corridor
This lighting project aims to connect the international exchange area with the modern innovation area, to further improve the urban environment of Chaoyang District, and to stimulate the district's night vitality, according to an official from the Commission of City Administration of Chaoyang District. The official added that the lighting project stretches from the East 4th Ring Road in the west to Baliqiao in the east. The project is carried out with an integrated approach by taking full consideration of the overall spatial form, the district's style, the greenery landscape, the road infrastructure, and the architectural characteristics of the eastern extension line of Chang'an Avenue.
Focusing on the landscape of the eastern extension line and the culture and history of the Tonghui River, the project features the theme "the warmest administrative corridor" in its design and is built in line with the principle of "prominent use of golden roofs, thoughtful arrangement of primary and secondary structures, and meticulous attention to detail".
