The much-concerned fourth embassy zone and the supporting roads in the west region of Dongba North Area have made new progress. The Chaoyang District Transport Commission announced today morning that the Liangma River North Road project has been approved as an urban expressway. Upon completion, it will serve as a fast channel connecting Beijing Capital International Airport to the first, second, third, and fourth embassy zones, by linking up with the 2nd Airport Expressway.

The fourth embassy zone has 12 planned roads, with 5 roads such as Dongwei Road and Tianwei Road already approved for project development. The remaining 7 roads, including Bahe North 1st Street, have received multiple compliance consultations results for roads and pipelines and are currently being discussed with the Chaoyang District Development and Reform Commission. The western area of Dongba North Area has 7 primary supporting trunk roads, of which 3 (Dongba Avenue, Xingba Road, and Fuyang West Street) have already commenced construction, and 4 secondary trunk roads (An’de Avenue, Fuyang East Street, Xibeimen Road, and Baoyuan Road) have been approved.

Regarding external communication, the Liangma River North Road will serve as a new fast channel for the fourth embassy zone. The Liangma River North Road, planned as an urban expressway, starts from the East 4th Ring Road in the west and ends at the 2nd Airport Expressway in the east, with a total length of 9.3 kilometers. Upon completion, the road will link up with Liangmaqiao Road to create a high-speed connection between the central urban area and the first, second, third, and fourth embassy zones to Beijing Capital International Airport, thereby enhancing the traffic support capacity for foreign affairs activities. Furthermore, the road will help alleviate traffic congestion on Yaojiayuan Road, better catering to the travel needs of the Jinzhan International Cooperation Service Zone, Dongba Area, and other areas along the way, ultimately supporting their economic and social growth.
