Lately, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism jointly issued the Notice on Naming Quality Sports Tourism Projects in Beijing in 2023. After experts’ review, 13 projects in Chaoyang District made it to the list.

Located at the north end of Beijing's central axis, the Olympic Forest Park is a super-large and comprehensive urban park for citizens to refresh, sightsee and exercise. The park boasts abundant sports tourism resources and products.

5. Equuleus International Riding Club

Established in 1999, Equuleus International Riding Club is located in the central villa area of Cuigezhuang Township, Chaoyang District. With a superior location, beautiful scenery, and convenient transportation, it is surrounded by many high-end communities, international schools, and art districts and allows equestrian teaching and training, equestrian events, horse culture experience, travel research, artistic exhibition, business activities, and other activities.

6. Wenyu River Park

The Wenyu River Park is located at the junction of Chaoyang, Shunyi, and Changping districts, the intersection of Qinghe and Wenyu rivers, and the upstream segment of the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center. It is of great significance as a flood control channel and ecological corridor.

7. BIG Olympic Park 1314

BIG Olympic Park 1314 is located in No.1 Courtyard, Aoyuan West Road, Chaoyang District. The park covers an area of over 70,000 square meters, with a floor area of approximately 20,000 square meters.

8. Zhongmeng Football Museum

Zhongmeng Football Museum is committed to recording the unremitting struggle and brave exploration of generations of Chinese footballers. The project integrates sports culture, sports education, health, and cultural heritage elements.

9. National Indoor Stadium

The National Indoor Stadium is a dual-Olympic venue, located in the south of the central area of Beijing Olympic Forest Park. It covers an area of 6.87 hectares and consists of four major areas: the main stadium, auxiliary stadium, hockey gymnasium, and south square.

10. National University Hockey League

National University Hockey League is sponsored by the Federation of University Sports of China and exclusively operated by Beijing Aozhong Sports Development Co., Ltd. As the first national university ice hockey competition in China, it fills the gap of university-level ice hockey competition in the country and is expected to provide a path for domestic teenage ice hockey talent to enter higher-level schools and seek career development in the future.

11. 2023 Beijing Youth Sports Championship (Curling)

2023 Beijing Youth Sports Events (Curling) is sponsored by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and undertaken by Beijing Sports Competitions Administration and International Exchange Center and relevant units.

12. National Figure Skating Grade Test

National Figure Skating Grade Test is a proficiency test formulated under the leadership and presidency of the Chinese Figure Skating Association. It applies to sports teams, physical education schools, and clubs at all levels across the country. It is held twice a year in five cities nationwide each time.

13. National Youth Speed Skating Championship

The 2022-2023 National Youth Speed Skating Championships started in the "Ice Ribbon" – National Speed Skating Stadium. The competition consists of 38 disciplines in 3 groups, aiming to tap into reserve talent with competitive sports talent and great development potential to fuel the development of national speed skating events.
