TCM International Service Demonstration Base Starts Construction: TCM Access for International Friends in Chaoyang!
Recently, Chaoyang District has started to
construct a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) international service demonstration base
to provide better TCM services for international friends.
Chaoyang District is fully committed to building a distinctive regional brand that offers TCM services,
and to deepening the international promotion of TCM culture and cooperation in this field.
Now, international friends can receive TCM treatments in Chaoyang District.
Chaoyang District boasts abundant TCM resources. The district has established 255 TCM inheritance studios at the grassroots level and formed an entire chain-coverage ecosystem for the innovative development and inheritance of TCM. It was selected as a national pilot area for the innovative development and inheritance of TCM this year.
"Chaoyang District gathers the majority of foreign embassies in China. The development of TCM international medical treatment can not only treat diseases, but also promotes Chinese culture," said a representative from the Chaoyang District Health Commission. The newly constructed TCM international service demonstration base consists of three hospitals: China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Beijing United Family Healthcare, and Sanlitun Second Community Health Service Center. Each of these facilities has bilingual TCM clinics and studios.
The demonstration base also functions as a hierarchical diagnosis and treatment platform. A TCM green referral channel will be provided based on patients' conditions.
The 8th Diplomatic Envoys TCM Health Day was held at the launch ceremony for the demonstration base construction. Dozens of diplomats from foreign embassies in China experienced innovative TCM products and received healthcare services such as TCM massage. They also tasted herbal coffee and medicinal, nutritious afternoon tea. China-Japan Friendship Hospital offered experience programs such as TCM massage and handmade incense balls.
