Irrigation and picking can be completed with just “one click” at "unmanned orchards"

At Chaolai Agricultural Park, Laiguangying Township, a technician can control the lighting, temperature, water, and air inside the greenhouse through a mini-programe set in the phone. Tasks such as irrigation and harvesting can be done by robots. With the aid of digital technology, Chaolai Agricultural Park has achieved a yield increase of over 15% per mu, reduced labor input by approximately 50%, and lowered the use of water, fertilizers, and pesticides by more than 10%. Similarly, Lang Jujube Orchard in Sunhe Township has been digitally upgraded and established 36 digitally-controlled greenhouse facilities, moving towards the goal of creating an "unmanned orchard".

Embrace a different urban agriculture landscape in the manors and parks

In the Wenyu River Park, Sunhe Township, there is a well-arranged and magnificent landscape of terraced fields covering an area of 75 mu (5 hectares). Unlike ordinary parks, the focus here is not on flowers and plants but on crops such as oilseed rape, sesame, alfalfa, and millet. To highlight the agricultural leisure experience and inheritance of farming culture, Chaoyang District plans to cultivate crops that are both visually appealing and edible in six parks, including the Beijing Pear Orchard. This effort aims to develop urban agricultural landscapes that are distinct and harmonious with nature.

promote the renovation of urban agriculture facilities,

park development, digital empowerment, and multifunctional development,

continuously elevate the "Three Zones" construction in Chaoyang District to a new level,

provide a model of modern agricultural parks for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and accelerating agricultural and rural modernization,

 and paint a "prosperous picture" of rural revitalization and a new chapter of modern urban agriculture development with dedication, enthusiasm, and endeavor.
