Revamp of Neighborhood! Sanlitun Road Transforms into an All-Day Bar and Restaurant Hub—Get a Sneak Peek
Sanlitun Road in Chaoyang District upgrades and makes its debut
as a leisure neighborhood,
blending the preservation of long-standing merchants
with the addition of unique shops.
Let’s take a look.
Since August 2023,
the Sanlitun Sub-district has undergone optimization in various aspects,
including the business format and function, operational plans,
and store designs along the eastern side of Sanlitun Road.
The optimization aims to create a diverse living experience
by focusing on all-day bars and restaurants,
encompassing food, drinks, tea, and cultural elements.
Urban Leisure Neighborhood
Some Merchants Operate Around the Clock
Today, along the south street of Sanlitun Road east side,
merchants operate around the theme of “All-day operation and urban leisure”,
creating an urban leisure neighborhood.
Old-established merchants, carrying public memories and embracing a new look, are making a comeback. Among them is a whisky-themed museum transformed from a bar, boasting an extensive collection. Swing58 and Jazz.ya, two existing establishments primarily offering light meals, have expanded their offerings to include a variety of food, beverages, and teas.
A group of emerging merchants representing trendy and refined lifestyles have also set up shop. For instance, the Buffet-theme national flagship store under the brand Holiland serves seasonal fruit desserts and offers exquisite tea and alcoholic beverages to the public. There is also a compound space called “Qiheijue” for Guangxi rice noodles and craft beer, a theme restaurant named “Carmen TAPAS” that serves Tapas, which is a kind of Spanish snacks for the first time in the Sanlitun Business District, and Comma 54, a molecular gastronomy and beverage store. These places are worth a visit for food tasting.
A Diverse Urban Experiential Space
Unique Shops Demonstrate Distinctive Features
The north street of Sanlitun Road east side
has been specifically developed to feature cultural and artistic spaces, slow living,
distinctive dining, and various urban experiential spaces,
welcoming the introduction of several highly unique shops.
Table Wine & Tea is a Chinese traditional cultural restaurant and bar, curated by a top-notch domestic chef team. It is also the first Chinese traditional-themed restaurant on this street. Moonlight is a Mexican light meal restaurant operated in collaboration with the renowned chef team from Kempinski.
Furthermore, the north street has reserved a pop-up space for ever-changing experiences. During the opening period, the renowned jewelry brand PALOMA will also make its official debut.
