This year, Beijing will build itself into a garden city based on the initiatives of developing a forest city across its entire urban area and a "city with more than 1,000 gardens". Chaoyang District, as one of the five garden city pilot districts, will hold the first garden festival throughout the year and meticulously implement the development plan of garden city demonstration districts as a priority.

Chaoyang District will launch special theme activities, such as the Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival and Chinese Rose Cultural Festival, in Beixiaohe Park, Dawangjing Park, and other demonstration parks around "One Garden, One Flower, and One Taste". Ornamental trees and shrubs with beautiful flowers and foliage have been planted on 15 roads, including Huangqu Middle Road and Jiaohuachang Sixth Street, forming a road landscape of "flowers and foliage along the road" and adding a riot of color to the garden city.

"People walking in the city are like traveling in a painting." This is the most beautiful "garden-like" scene that Beijing Municipality's Chaoyang District promises to offer for over 3.4 million residents.
