The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism, which coincides with France's hosting of the Summer Olympic Games 100 years after its successful hosting of the 1924 Olympic Games. On September 14, in order to promote the high-quality development of China's and France's sports industries, Business France co-hosted the 2nd China-France Sports Day with Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau and Chaoyang District of Beijing during the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS). The leaders and guests attending the event also came to the National Tennis Center on the same day to have an in-depth understanding of the upcoming 2024 China Open and its venue, so as to further strengthen the exchange and cooperation between China and France in tennis sports and culture.

The event closely followed the theme of "Building Sports Dream Together for a New Future" to further promote integrated innovation in various fields. Through opening ceremonies, roundtable forums, receptions, sports venue visits and events, it continuously injected new momentum into regional development.

The relevant person in charge of the Foreign Affairs Office of Chaoyang District People's Government said that they hope to leverage the influence of the CIFTIS platform through this event to further enhance the international popularity of Chaoyang District, attract more well-known sports brands from France to visit and settle here, continuously stimulate new vitality of regional sports consumption, and help build a main bearing area for an international consumption center city.

The event was organized by France Sport Club, the Foreign Affairs Office of Chaoyang District People's Government, Chaoyang District Sports Bureau and Beijing Chaoyang Culture and Tourism Development Group.
