Nghệ An People's Council Visits the Standing Committee of Chaoyang District People's Congress
On November 14, a delegation from the People's Council of Nghệ An Province, Vietnam visited the Standing Committee of the Chaoyang District People's Congress for exchanges. Participants of the meeting included Nguyen Nhu Khoi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, and head of the delegation, Pham Tan Vinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Secretary of the party committees of the provincial bodies, Chen Hongzhi, Director of the Standing Committee of the Chaoyang District People's Congress, and Deputy Directors Zhang Kebin, Zhao Hongwei, Bao Yuefeng, and Xu Jianing.
At the symposium, Mr. Chen Hongzhi provided an overview of the Chaoyang District and shared basic information about the Chaoyang District People's Congress and its Standing Committee.
He introduced China's people's congress system and democratic elections by using the election of deputies to the Chaoyang District People's Congress as an example. He explained that the people's congress system is China's fundamental political system, through which the people uniformly exercise state power.
Mr. Nguyen Nhu Khoi introduced the basic situation of the People's Council of Nghệ An Province. He said that this visit enhances their understanding of the functions of the Standing Committee of the Chaoyang District People's Congress, the electoral system for deputies to the people's congress, and how deputies perform their duties. He eagerly anticipated strengthening the relationship between the two parties by deepening exchanges and cooperation across various areas, renewing friendships, and pursuing common development.
