It is forecast that there will be scattered thunderstorms from the afternoon to the night on August 21. Parts of Beijing will experience heavy short-term rainfall accompanied by gusts of around force 6. 

Precautions are advised for your own safety.

1. If you are working outdoors, stay away from high ground and trees, and stop any work at heights or over water.

2. Avoid touching exposed metal objects, such as shovels, antennas, water pipes, wire fences, or gas pipes.

3. Close and stay away from doors and windows, and avoid using phones or other plugged-in electrical devices.

4. Be aware of the potential for short bursts of high winds, heavy rain, or hailstorms that may accompany thunderstorms.
