Written by , 27 June 2023Hello everyone. My name is Liu Weiran. I'm 17 years old. I grew up in Beijing. This park is a place I frequently visit and holds special meaning for me. I have become environmentally aware since the spring of 2017 when I was a pupil. One day at the end of March, we took part in a tree-planting event near our school. I was standing right here planting trees alongside Grandpa Xi. I vividly remember Grandpa Xi's kindness and that he joined us in shoveling and watering. Grandpa Xi told us planting trees now will benefit future generations, and we should roll up our sleeves to plant more trees year after year, generation after generation. At that time, the area was barren sandy land, but now it has transformed into a vast lawn. After that, I learned that this place used to be a village, but has now become a park that opens to the public free of charge. Both my primary school and middle school are in the vicinity. National Sci-tech Communication Center Opens to Public

Visitors can now schedule free group visits from Monday to Saturday by appointment. The center features four exhibitions that showcase the history of China's sci-tech advancement, the development of ecological civilization, a collection of sci-tech-themed postal stamps issued since the founding of the People's Republic of China, and the significant contributions of individuals toward boosting sci-tech innovation in the country. Spanning a construction area of 62,640 square meters, the center is situated next to the China Science and Technology Museum and is connected to it via a bridge facility.
