Internationalization constitutes the most solid foundation and the biggest advantage of Beijing CBD, catching the eyes of the world. With embassies, international organizations, chambers of commerce and business associations, international media and other resources in its surroundings, Beijing CBD has attracted more than 4,000 foreign-invested enterprises, and more than 10,000 in its functional area, accounting for nearly 1/3 of the total of Beijing. It is also home to 105 regional headquarters of multinational companies and 455 headquarters enterprises. Meanwhile, the functional area has accommodated more than 9,000 foreign trading companies in Beijing and 80% of international organizations and chambers of commerce. It is a platform for foreign representative offices in Beijing and international exchanges, where the European Chamber, the American Chamber of Commerce in China, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China and other bodies carry out regular cooperation.

More than 50% of grade A office buildings and 30% of Five-star hotels in Beijing are located in Beijing CBD where 90% of international business exhibitions and 50% of international conferences in Beijing are held.

As a vice chairman member of GBD Innovation Club, Beijing CBD ranks seventh in the world and second in Asia, and remains first in China according to the GBD Attractiveness Report released by the Club in 2020. With the CBD Forum held for 21 consecutive years, Beijing CBD has become an important platform for China's international exchanges.

The annual Beijing CBD Forum brings together the wisdom of domestic and foreign experts and global business elites, and has become an important platform for business ideas brainstorming and a stage for economic and trade activities of the capital and even the whole country. As an important window of the capital's opening to the outside world and the first high-end business platform in line with international standards, Beijing CBD welcomes global politicians, business leaders and elites every year. It is also known as the "Capital of International Conferences" because of the overwhelming international conferences and business exhibitions.

In order to better serve the foreign-invested enterprises in Beijing CBD, an investment promotion service centre in the international business service area of China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone has been set up in its functional area to provide a whole-process service solution. The centre offers a specific counter for foreign-invested enterprises and online services and provides the following "one-stop" services at the same time:

• Answer questions raised by key enterprises related to newly established enterprises in one stop
• Guide to deal with all kinds of new enterprise applications in one-stop
• Complete the whole set of procedures for enterprise establishment in one stop, namely business setup, tax registration, official seal engraving, social insurance registration, provident fund and bank account opening

For other administrative matters enterprises need to deal with, the centre provides assistance and commission services to allow maximum convenience for enterprises.

• Beijing CBD will build an urban forest park with a total green area of about 80 hectares, realizing the organic combination of the green central business district and the park.
• The central CBD area has 29 projects winning green building certification at or above the level of the LEED gold award, with a total area of 4,050,000 square meters and accounting for one-fourth of the total certified area in Beijing. All buildings under construction are planned and designed in accordance with the standards of three-star green buildings or those for LEED “gold”-level certification. The whole core area of Beijing CBD has been certificated with LEED Gold ND, becoming the first area across the country to get the certification of LEED ND.

On this basis, Beijing CBD will further optimize the regional infrastructure and build a smart business district:

• Reasonably plan and improve the infrastructure and supporting services within Beijing CBD, and perfect its business community function by providing humanized services around the clock. Create a well-organized urban space with a neat interface through construction, lighting and landscape, while building an art stage to create a new image of the city with public art.
• Establish a multidimensional transportation system, optimize regional transportation construction, promote the construction of rail transit and the ped&bike transportation system in a steady manner, optimize public transportation networks and expand ground and underground space to promote intelligent transportation.
• Actively facilitate 5G deployment, implement intelligent management, and make full use of information technologies such as Internet of things, big data and cloud computing.

Beijing CBD also provides an attractive development platform, improving living environment for the benefit of talents, aiming to become a "garden" to foster talents by providing them with comprehensive services. To this end, Beijing CBD has implemented personalized services for talents in Chaoyang District to get more accurate support:

• Talent Introduction and Assessment. Every year, Beijing CBD regularly recommends regional companies to participate in various awards assessment such as the Phoenix Plan, providing a "green channel" for talents.
• Settlement Supports for Talents. Beijiing CBD meets the housing needs of talents in the region to a certain extent and promotes the balance of work and housing by providing public rental housing for talents working in Beijing CBD.
• Platform Building for Talents. With the inauguration of the International Talent One-Stop Service Centre in Beijing CBD, 120 talent service projects can be implemented "nearby" and "online". The China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the CBD. International Talent Port was officially launched, integrating the functions of talent gathering, comprehensive services, development and cultivation, communication and integration, etc. and creating a comprehensive service chain for attracting, using, cultivating and retaining talents.
• Talent Training Service. Cooperating with high-end educational and consulting institutions such as the Yale Centre Beijing and the Penn Wharton China and Institute for China Business, HKU SPACE Beijing CBD conducted lectures on a variety of topics involving hot economic issues, corporate investment and financing. And the training on Gold Administrator of Buildings was also conducted, covering a total of over 580 people in over 300 buildings.
• Talent Activity Innovation. Beijing CBD General Union and Beijing CBD Personnel Talent Club have organized diverse cultural and sports activities, such as the CBD Football League, photography competitions, vertical marathon world tours, original drama competitions and many other activities, which have helped to enhance the sense of belonging and cohesion of talents.
