The Strongest Coffee Aroma! Beijing International Coffee Exchange Settled in Chaoyang District

Established by the joint efforts of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), the Center of African Reform and Development (CARD), and other international authorities, the Beijing International Coffee Exchange is intended to establish the forms of business focusing on bulk trade, wholesale and retail, roasting, and cross-border e-commerce of coffee, big data and financial services and culture of coffee. The first cafe of Youlu brand with Chinese style is also opened in Chaoyang District.

Alibaba’s Beijing Headquarters will be Delivered by the End of Next Year, Contributing to Building Chaoyang District into a Digital Economy Demonstration Zone

With a gross floor area of 470,000 square meters, Alibaba’s Beijing headquarters is currently in the decoration stage and is expected to be completed and put into use in December 2023. 19,000 Alibaba employees will work here. After the completion of the project, Alibaba will play its leading role in the development of technology and digital economy, contributing to building Chaoyang District into a digital economy demonstration zone.

Check the Latest Visa Policy for Foreign Nationals Coming to Beijing

According to the latest visa policy updated by China’s overseas visa authorities, visa application requirements to China have been further relaxed, making it easier for foreign nationals to visit Beijing. For example, the invitation letter issued by relevant departments of Beijing is no longer required for some applicants traveling to the city for economic, trade, scientific and technological activities, as well as visits and exchanges.

Beijing to Renovate Dance Drama and Opera House

Beijing Dance Drama and Opera House in Chaoyang district will be rebuilt and upgraded, adding a new performing arts landmark to the Chinese capital.

The renovation will add a 1,100-seat music and dance theater, a 410-seat comprehensive theater, and five rehearsal halls to the opera house, along with more space for parking and equipment storage.

The opera house will have a total floor area of 25,000 square meters after renovation, according to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform.

Launched in 2018 by Meituan, The Black Pearl Restaurant Guide is the first restaurant guide aims to propose a standard for Chinese food and create a restaurant guide of Chinese.  The Guide is published annually and all restaurants are evaluated from culinary skills, consumer experience, and inheritance and innovation.

First-Store Economy Sets a New Consumption Trend! Beijing CBD Saw the Opening of 31 First Stores in Q1

As one of the pilots of the first-store economy, Beijing now witnesses first stores flourishing.

Statistics from Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau show that the number of first stores and flagship stores opened in Beijing in the past three years reaches 2,160, showing an explosive growth trend. In Q1 this year, altogether 198 first stores and flagship stores were opened in Beijing, including 31 first stores in Beijing CBD.
