On the evening of December 31, 2022,

with the theme of "Meeting in Chaoyang District to Embrace the New Year",

a light show for New Year countdown to 2023

was staged on the Beijing Olympic Tower, Wangjing building cluster, and China World Trade Center.

Using three-dimensional imaging,

full-color laser and other technologies, the light show lit up the sky of Chaoyang District

As one of the most famous destinations for parent-child activities in Beijing, the Olympic Forest Park provides a place for tourists to enjoy flowers in spring, escape the heat in summer, appreciate fallen leaves in autumn, and have a fun time on the snowfield and ice with their children in winter. The Olympic Forest Park has held the ice and snow carnival for six consecutive years to help promote the Winter Olympics culture and create a paradise for residents in Beijing to get close to ice and snow.

On December 4, residents visited Beijing's Majiawan Wetland Park in Chaoyang District to enjoy the winter sunshine and picturesque view.

On the morning of December 24,

Wenyu Happy Ice and Snow Season was launched.

The 80,000-square-meter ice rink embedded in the city's "green lung"

was officially opened to the public.

On December 24,

the Sanlitun Consumption Season with the tagline "Meeting in Sanlitun, Revitalizing the Season" kicked off.

The consumption season will last one month,

during which New Year's Day and the Chinese New Year will be celebrated.

Many wonderful activities are ongoing to revive the season.

The new façade of Beijing Workers’ Stadium was recently unveiled. The construction area of fair-faced concrete for this project is about 220,000 square meters, which is currently the largest of its kind in China. The fair-faced concrete technique has distinctive advantages in multiple dimensions such as environmental protection, cost-effectiveness, and durability. The project will be completed in December 2022, and the stadium will resume operations at that time.
