Beijing's basic pension insurance expanding to cover eligible permanent foreign residents

Starting October 1, 2021, Beijing's basic pension insurance will be available to individuals possessing a Foreigner's Permanent Residence Card or Residence Card for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents.

Along with Beijing Municipal Finance Bureau, Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau recently announced that Beijing's basic pension insurance will be available to unemployed Beijing residents between 16 and 60 years old (excluding students), who possess a valid Foreigner's Permanent Residence Card or Residence Card for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents.
