Up to now, Chaoyang has four sites

On the evening of July 15, the "2022 Beijing Consumption Season: Night in Beijing" was launched at the Liangma River International Waterfront. The consumption season will last until November.

From June to October 2022, Beijing issues to consumers green energy-saving themed coupons on some enterprises’ online platforms, such as JD.COM, Suning.com, Dazhong Electronics, GOME, Zhenkuaile, B&T Home, Boda Xincheng, Beijing Wumart Jingbei Shopping Mall, Tianyu Xinde, Changda Siyuan, etc., to be used both online and offline. The 2022 Beijing Consumption Season · One Night in Beijing

kicked off at Liangma River International  Waterfront.

As the major carrier of the international consumption center,

Chaoyang District actively promotes the innovative development of the night economy.

Established by the joint efforts of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), the Center of African Reform and Development (CARD), and other international authorities, the Beijing International Coffee Exchange is intended to establish the forms of business focusing on bulk trade, wholesale and retail, roasting, and cross-border e-commerce of coffee, big data and financial services and culture of coffee. The first cafe of Youlu brand with Chinese style is also opened in Chaoyang District.

In 2022, Chaoyang District continues its efforts in greenway construction. The project of about a 9.5km long demonstration section constructed in the early stage is currently in the final stage. After the completion, the greenway will be a great place for walking, running, cycling, and hiking.

With a gross floor area of 470,000 square meters, Alibaba’s Beijing headquarters is currently in the decoration stage and is expected to be completed and put into use in December 2023. 19,000 Alibaba employees will work here. After the completion of the project, Alibaba will play its leading role in the development of technology and digital economy, contributing to building Chaoyang District into a digital economy demonstration zone.

According to the latest visa policy updated by China’s overseas visa authorities, visa application requirements to China have been further relaxed, making it easier for foreign nationals to visit Beijing. For example, the invitation letter issued by relevant departments of Beijing is no longer required for some applicants traveling to the city for economic, trade, scientific and technological activities, as well as visits and exchanges.
